Today I have something a little different. Are you a fan of Halloween? Here in Australia it is something that is celebrated more for the fact that kids can trick and treat and end up with a fist full of lollies and get hyperactive for the parents for a night lol. It is huge in the States but relatively low key here in Australia. That said, I have never made anything to do with Halloween before and thought I would have a dabble lol. While I’m not a huge fan of halloween, I did have fun making this project.
A little redback spider I drew lol
In order to get the black on the outside and coloured inside this is what I did. I took a 2 pieces of A4 black cardstock and adhered the Happy Hauntings DSP (designer series paper) to each of them. I then placed a coffin templates on each of the pieces of cardstock and stapled the template to it (making sure the staples were around the outside of the paper not inside the template. I marked out the score and cut lines on the template so that it showed on the DSP then I scored and cut out the template. Then it was just a matter of glueing and decorating and it was done. The most awesome thing about making these projects is that I get to sample the goodies. This coffin is loaded with jaffas (if you are a kiwi, you will understand what I mean lol). All items used in this project come from the new Holiday Catalogue. All available for purchase from my online store. Just click the images below and it will take you there.
Please leave me a comment and let me know what you think and whether you celebrate Halloween. If you have any questions or would like to know more on how to make this, then just let me know.
Thanks so much for stopping by……..
