Today I had a play with one of the new stamps in our Occasions Catalogue called Hey, Valentine! He is such a cutie, don’t you think? I have entered this card into the CTC Challenge
Now taking your woodgrain embossing folder place the largest circle and the 8 halves of the word window pieces into the embossing folder. Make sure you put the word window pieces on an angle to get a different “woodgrain” look and then run it through your Big Shot.
Take the pieces out of the embossing folder and with a sponge gently colour using your crumb cake ink pad. I added a bit of definition by using a dab of early espresso.
When you have coloured in all the pieces, adhere them to the circle (I used multi purpose glue) in the shape of a ship’s wheel. Next, take the remaining circle cut out and stamp your image onto it using memento ink.
NOTE: You will notice that there is the word “Valentine” at the top of the sentiment, which I chose not to use. To do this I placed a spare word window cut out over the word to stop the ink from adhering to it and just ran the ink pad over the rest of the stamp and then stamped it. Now colour the image using blendabilities ( a list of all the colours I used are shown below). Finally, to add a little “bling” to my treasure chest I used the tiniest pearl embellishments and some gold glitz for the coins.
Hope you enjoyed this mini tutorial, don’t forget to leave me a comment, or, if you have any questions just let me know.
Thanks again for stopping by, hope you have a great day!
